FINANCE MANAGER

DESCRIPTION:

In this highly visible role as Finance Manager reporting to the Director of Finance, you will play an integral part of the future success of the Finance department and the organization as a whole. Your responsibilities will include, but won’t be limited to, preparing consolidated financial statements and notes, assisting with MD&A, overseeing A/P, management reporting, budgeting, month-end close and a multitude of projects as directed by the CFO. REQUIRED:
Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or equivalent) and/or MBA
Strong accounting and financial knowledge (consolidated reporting, budgeting, controls, month-end close) in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical and/or research and development culture
Experience overseeing Accounts Payable a definite asset
Advanced Excel experience; Quickbooks Enterprise is a definite asset
Superlative reconciliation skills
Experience with MD&A and note preparation highly desirable
Intense commitment to excellence in process and service
Demonstrated business acumen
Superlative oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive and insightful problem solver with well-honed analytical skills
Effective time management and organizational skills
IFRS exposure a definite asset
Knowledge of costing beneficial
Experience with SR&ED desirable
Strong initiative
